About Time

About Time

Ok, so here goes with my first blog post!

It's a VERY different world to a year ago.

Back then, we could go where we wanted, do what we wanted, meet who we liked and basically enjoyed whatever we wanted to enjoy.
Now, it's face masks in shops, keeping 2 meters away from people and sanitising our hands every five minutes.
If you had been in a coma or visiting Mars, you'd be forgiven if you thought you'd woken up in another world.

The thing is, (as I have learned) there's no point moaning about it and trying to find someone or something to blame.
We've just got to get on with it, we have to.

So with that in mind I thought - "what can I do to help, is there anything I can do to make anyone's situation better?"

That's why I have come up with a little idea to entertain, occupy and maybe learn from others.

I call it - TIME.

I thought it would be good if any of you (not just my customers, but anyone who takes photos) wanted to send in photos you've taken since this pandemic began.

I can upload them onto this blog and if you want to write something about the photo/s, I'll publish that too.
You may want to say where the photo was taken, what inspired you to take it, or maybe you have a story associated with it.

I called it TIME because time keeps moving on and we are always trying to either fill it, save it, make it, remember it, gain it or get it.

So, to fill time, you could maybe take some photos and if you get the urge you could make time to upload them.
That's if you get the time, don't worry if you don't.
To save time, here's our email address where you can upload your photos - retrolenses@talktalk.net

It doesn't matter how the photo/s were taken. It could be from a camera phone, digital camera or print scan.

I'd love to see photos from all over the world, the more the better and if you want to stay anonymous, no problem.

All I ask is that the photos are yours and not taken from the web.
Please keep the images decent.

I may even award discount codes to use here in the shop and the occasional free gift for those I feel deserve it.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.
I would love to hear from you.

Stay safe.
